Stephen graduated in 1998 with First Class Honours in Osteopathy. He has also completed extensive training in the field of Sports medicine. His own personal interest in football and athletics sparked his initial interest in the function of the human body.
He has completed the C.H.E.K. Exercise Certification program including courses on Scientific Back Training, Core Conditioning and advanced Swiss Ball training for rehabilitation.
As well as professional experience in sports injuries, Stephen has a particular interest in occupational strains. He is a qualified assessor in workstation ergonomics, providing practical solutions in reducing work related injury.
Postural re-education is another area of focus in Stephen's methods in improving function and reducing the stress on the musculo-skeletal system.
All Osteopaths have different styles to their treatment, Stephen's very much "Hands On" approach to manual therapy along with combining his knowledge of biomechanical assessments and corrective exercise, are what gets him the results that help resolve your pain and get to the root of your condition.
Stephen is a Registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). He is also a recognised practitioner to provide Osteopathic treatment with the Private Medical Insurance Companies.
