A cone beam CT is a special type of x-ray machine used in situations where a regular dental x-ray is not sufficient. This type of CT scanner uses a special type of technology to generate 3D images of dental structures, soft tissue, nerve paths and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan. Images obtained with CBCT allow for more precise treatment planning.
Truim is the only device that combines all the best image qualities in one package. It has a full range of of medium FOV sizes to facilitate 2D and 3D examinations. Truim has 4 FOV sizes ranging from 40 x 40mm to 110 x 80mm to minimise exposure in the relevant area.
Truim uses 1, 5 to 12 times less radiation than a medical scanner and reduces the necessary dose by 30% compared to other cone beams.
